Ann & Arlene's Ark was founded in Prescott in 1994 by Arlene Treiber and Ann Tomasic and has been providing professional pet sitting in the tri-cities area for 15 years. Arlene Treiber, now sole owner of Ann & Arlene's ark for many years, is also a professional photographer with a BA in Fine Arts and an AS in Opticianry. Always caring for animals during her childhood and developing a lasting bond with them, Arlene was very content to leave the stressful corporate world and join with Ann to develop Ann & Arlene's Ark in 1994.

In addition to providing daily visits to thousands of satisfied customers, Ann & Arlene's Ark has a team of overnight pet sitters who become constant companions for your pets while you are away.

Ann & Arlene's Ark is insured and bonded, and provides numerous other services including home watching, pet adoptions, photography, plant watering, medication of animals in need, pet taxi, and computer services by Logicom. Residing in Prescott since 1993, Arlene is an avid photographer, runner and hiker. Arlene and Larry have three very special cats: PC, a ruddy emerald green-eyed Abyssinian; Tiva, a sleek and beautiful brown-patterned Bengal with gorgeous green eyes; and Zephyr, a magnificent blue-eyed Snow Leopard Bengal.

Ann and Arlene's Ark has been a member of Pet Sitters International since 1995. Arlene is also a member of the Humane Society, ASPCA, Audubon Society, Wilderness Society, Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation, Care.com and PetsitUSA.com.

JOE and ANN: I met Ann and Joe in 1994, while looking for land in Prescott. They came to Prescott from Ohio in order to retire, but several months later, Ann and I established Ann & Arlene's Ark.  A number of years later, Ann wanted to retire AGAIN, but now she and Joe, an aviation artist, are helping out with pet sitting more than ever, thoroughy enjoying the wonderful care they give to the many overnight as well as daily customers.

There aren't too many retirees who work as hard as Joe and Ann, always helping others: Joe volunteers at St. Vincent de Paul, and Ann is very involved in Sacred Heart Parish. Ann and Joe have one very lively and loving dog named Tootsie.

BOB and BECKY: Bob and Becky moved to Prescott from Orange County, California, believing they had retired forever. They hired Ann & Arlene's Ark to care for their cats. They were so likeable that we asked them to join our team of pet sitters. This so-called retired couple are very vital members of the Ann & Arlene's Ark family. They also volunteer with Animal Disaster Services (ADS), an offshoot of United Animal Friends, and serve as caregivers during disaster evacuations for fire, flood, etc. They set up and man a shelter, providing care for cats, dogs, horses, birds, fish, etc., while families are evacuated from their homes.

So much for their retirement! Bob and Becky have 5 sweet cats, most of them from Miss Kitty's Cat House.
